Der Alte Hafen in Montreal ist ein touristisch genutzter Teil der Hafenanlagen in der kanadischen Stadt Montreal. Dort planschte kürzlich ein junger Buckelwal munter durch das Wasser – zur grossen Begeisterung der ortsansässigen Leute.

Der Buckelwal lockte zahlreiche Schaulustige an die Küste.

De Ia grande visite aujourd’hui à #montréal , une baleine à bosse est en ville! C’est la première fois qu’une baleine est aperçue ici. Loin de la mer, elle n’est pourtant pas encore en danger, elle s’amuse bien comme vous voyez sur ces photos et elle est sous haute surveillance par le GREMM et la SPVM. Merci à eux de veiller sur elle! On peut l’identifier avec le dessous de la queue, espérons que son exploration se terminera sous peu et qu’elle décidera de redescendre le St-Laurent sous peu! Bien que son spectacle de fin de journée a été bien apprécié! ✨🎉🐳 Huge visit today in #montreal ! A humpback whale have been seen for the first time here! It unusual to find a whale that far in fresh water, but the whale seems to be very healthy and energic! It’s under high surveillance by environmental agents and policemen. Let’s hope it’ll find it’s way soon and that they’ll identify it with the markings under its tail! Thanks for the great show this afternoon! Der Besuch des Wales ist sehr ungewöhnlich. Vermutlich war es das erste Mal überhaupt, dass dort ein Buckelwal gesichtet wurde. Entsprechend viel Aufmerksamkeit erhielt er vom faszinierten Publikum.

Der Dreikäsehoch schien es zu geniessen und setzte sich mit vollem Körpereinsatz in Szene.

Experten schätzen das Alter des Buckelwals auf zwei oder drei Jahre. Buckelwale werden für gewöhnlich 45 bis 50 Jahre Jahre alt.
